Whaling is similar to spear phishing and is a targeted attack that is very hard to spot when it enters your inbox. If you are the victim of an attempted whaling attack, you’ll receive an email that appears to be from a colleague or business associate, which is written especially for you. In this email, you may be asked to send sensitive information or authorise payment.
